The magazines and newspapers around the city are now beginning to publish their reviews of us. The first came from the Beijing Morning Post on 22nd September 2006:

And in December, China Daily published a review headed “Gastropub Perfection”, which unfortunately we never got to see in print. Luckily I stumbled across a copy of the review which was republished online, and it is still in the Internet Archive. It called us “one of those ‘hidden gem down an inconspicuous alleyway’ places”.

These reviews first appeared on the Vineyard Cafe blog between September and December 2006. Vineyard Cafe was the restaurant I opened in a Beijing hutong in 2006 with Will and Xuduan; its blog is long gone, so I have brought it back here. See the whole Vineyard Cafe story.
